FAQs
All patients have the legal right to choose where they have their NHS treatment. A full guide on how to be referred can be found here
All healthcare professionals referring NHS patients to ACES should ideally use the NHS e-referral service in the first instance. Full details of all referral pathways can be found here.
Alternatively, we have a referral form available here that can be completed and submitted to aceseyeclinic.enquiries@nhs.net
Patients can be expected to be seen, on average, within four weeks from their initial referral. If a patient requires cataract surgery, they will then be offered the opportunity to choose a suitable appointment time in an ACES clinic that is most convenient to them. Patients requiring cataract surgery will expect to wait on average four weeks, which is vastly less than traditional NHS hospitals.
Patients will need to be referred to ACES. Please see our guide on how to get referred to ACES here.
