ACES has launched their “A Day in the Life” programme, offering qualified, GOC registered optometrists the chance to shadow experienced ACES employed optometrists in the cataract surgery / outpatient pathway and earn up to 4 CPD Points over a half day (4 hours).
Participants will gain first-hand experience in cataract surgeries, observing surgical procedures, pre-operative and post-operative consultations, and working with advanced diagnostic technology.
This unique initiative, running across ACES treatment centres nationwide, will provide participants with valuable insights into modern cataract surgeries, including the chance to observe live surgical procedures in state-of-the-art operating theatres equipped with industry-leading technology from Zeiss and Johnson & Johnson Vision.
