We had a chat with Apoorva Singh, NHS Partnership Executive for our Bristol clinic. Previously a clinic manager, Apoorva was keen to join a dynamic and growing team, and she stepped into her new role with the passion and dedication necessary to drive referrals in her local community.
- What were you doing previously?
Before joining ACES, I held a clinic manager role within Optical Express, where I had the privilege of working closely with patients and contributing to life-changing visual outcomes. I collaborated with a dedicated team to achieve results and meet KPIs while continuously developing my skillset in patient care and operational management.
- What first attracted you to join ACES?
I was initially drawn to ACES because of its commitment to providing high-quality care and its innovative approach to ophthalmology services. I also saw it as an exciting opportunity to raise awareness in the local community about the vital services we offer, and contribute to the growth of the clinic I would be looking after.
- Can you explain what your role with ACES will involve?
In my role at ACES, I will be focused on raising awareness of our clinic’s services, liaising with local healthcare professionals, and facilitating patient referrals. Additionally, I’ll be working closely with optometrists, GPs, and other stakeholders to ensure that we are providing excellent patient care and creating strong community connections.
“It’s also incredibly fulfilling to be part of a dynamic team at ACES, where there’s always an opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate on new initiatives.”
- What are you most excited about?
I’m most excited about the opportunity to make a real impact in the community and help more patients access the care they need. It’s also incredibly fulfilling to be part of a dynamic team at ACES, where there’s always an opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate on new initiatives.
- What is the best piece of advice that you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received is, “Always stay curious and keep learning.” This advice has helped me maintain a growth mindset and embrace new challenges and opportunities, which has been invaluable in my career so far.
- What would you do if you won the lottery?
If I won the lottery, I’d take the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures, which I believe broadens perspective and fosters creativity. I’d also invest in lifelong learning, whether through further education or exploring new skills. While financial freedom would be amazing, I find a lot of fulfilment in staying productive and contributing to meaningful projects, so I’d still want to be involved in work that challenges and inspires me.
