With a prominent career spanning the UK and Pakistan, Dr Saqlain Sadiq is a renowned ophthalmologist with a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional refractive care. Armed with over a decade of experience, he has established himself as a leading authority in the field of Cataract and Refractive surgery.
A graduate of the prestigious Army Medical College Rawalpindi, Pakistan (NUST), Dr Sadiq’s journey to excellence led him through studies at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. His surgical prowess was further refined during his advanced training at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Beyond his exceptional clinical skills, Dr Sadiq is a dedicated champion for progress in ophthalmology. He generously shares his knowledge through various educational roles. He teaches ophthalmology to medical and physician associate students at UCL, QMUL, SGUL, and Oxford University. He is a faculty member at the prestigious Royal College of Ophthalmologists, where he conducts corneal workshops and also serves as an examiner for QMUL medical student examinations.
As well as having a profound impact on the educational future of eye care, he has also extended his expertise and time to research and charitable endeavours. Dr Sadiq was part of one of the largest NGOs in Pakistan, LRBT, during which he provided free and essential care to over 5000 patients. His experience translated to research for which he gained a Gold Medal in Best Paper Presentation.
