Mr Manzar Saeed is a highly experienced ophthalmic surgeon with expertise in advanced cataract surgery. Mr Saeed comes from a comprehensive and diverse training background and completed his studies in a number of renowned institutions such as St. Thomas’ King College Hospital and the Tennant Institute of Ophthalmology, Glasgow. He is currently the Head of Ophthalmology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Norfolk.
To date, Mr Saeed has performed over 20,000 procedures and has established a vast number of specialities over the span of his career including macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He is committed to educating both students and junior residents within his field and has won the Clinical Excellence Award on two occasions for his work. Mr Saeed played a key role in establishing a new Vitreoretinal Unit within The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is an active participant working with other specialist doctors throughout the region on research studies to further improve patient care and experience.
Mr Saeed is the author of a number of peer reviewed scientific publications and book chapters, he has also presented his work at national and international conferences. He is also on the Specialist Register for the Royal Hospital of Sick Children and has a keen interest in vision restorative surgery after trauma.
