Sonal Lad

Sonal Lad works within the busy Birmingham clinic, providing a range of in-clinic and telemedicine appointments to my patients. She has been a qualified optometrist for over 15 years with a varied background in many areas of Optometry, including providing eye tests on the high street with Dollond & Aitchison, Boots Opticians and Scrivens.

She also worked as a domiciliary Optometrist for 5 years traveling to patients’ houses to provide eye tests and glasses to those who find it difficult to attend the high street Opticians. Her training over the years has allowed her to be MECS (Minor Eyecare Services) accredited to provide urgent eyecare advice to those having sudden onset problems. She also achieved a qualification in Diabetic Screening and provided this service for a period of 5 years in her job at Scrivens Opticians. Keen on continuing her professional development, she enjoys attending online lectures and lectures within the local area, which provide a good opportunity for networking and meeting with fellow optometrists.
